Behind the formula
1. What are probiotics? How do they work?
Our formulas use probiotic bacteria that produce enzymes to break down dirt and grime, allowing the bacteria to clean effectively. This process continues for up to 7 days in home care products and 24 hours in body care products, ensuring ongoing cleanliness. Natural and active, our formulas contain approximately 8.8 million probiotics for body care and 5 million for home care. "Good bacteria fight against bad bacteria!"
2. What are upcycled fragrances, and why do we use them in our products?
Upcycled fragrances: Innovating responsibly and helping all our consumers achieve sustainable goals with our products is one of the ambitions of Superkons.
Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste, and useless or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of higher quality, such as artistic value or environmental value.
All our product formulations are exclusively equipped with upcycled fragrances. It not only enhances experiences but also indulges you at the moment.
3. What certificates or regulations do you follow?
We have collaborated with top formulation chemists who have great expertise in the skincare industry. We adhere to the EU's health and safety regulations for ingredients and carry out challenging testing and stability testing for all our products in an ISO-certified lab based in Switzerland.
With consumers demanding safer products, Superkons as a brand is taking responsibility for newer, safer formulations developed for generations.
Although cleaning products in the EU don't mandate challenge and stability testing, we ought to perform these tests to make sure they’re safe, stable, and sustainable for all of us.
Green certifications do not make a product chemical-free, and most of these certifications mislead customers. They are often used as a marketing tool to attract and mislead customers to promote sales.
We, as a brand, have a sincere desire to commit to and develop sensible formulas, that lead to high performance, and richer experiences, and bring balance to people and the planet.
4. Are the formulations vegan and cruelty-free?
Superkons are vegan and cruelty-free. We do not use any animal products or byproducts in our formulations. Our products are SLS-free and paraben-free.
5. What's not in Superkons formulas?
We only use ingredients that are highly rated in the EWG guide for human and environmental safety. Free from chlorine, formaldehyde, bleach, essential oils, and artificial dyes.
6. Why do we produce undyed products?
Following our core principle—"Identifying the essential & eliminating the rest”—we started building upon this by excluding dyes and colorants in all of our formulations, which doesn't affect any of the performance or functionality.
In addition to adding good-for-you ingredients to every formula, we eliminated many potential irritants, like adding dyes, essential oils, and artificial fragrances, making formulas more effective, more functional, highly sustainable, and 100% biodegradable.
7. Are the formulas plant-based?
All the ingredients are 100% plant-based. It works best for sensitive skin.
8. Where are the Superkons formulations developed?
We hold our development and production of formulations in West Sweden. All the ingredients are sourced in Europe and the UK.
9. How long will the mixture be effective?
As long as the sachets are placed in a safe and dry place and used as per instructions, there should not be any problem with effectiveness.
10. Does it lose its efficacy with time / open air?
If we put the concentration out for a longer time, like months, in the sun, rain, and wind, we might expect evaporation of the fragrance. when opened & not mixed into the bottle/unused. The powder starts to dry out and become lumpy at the week 4 checkpoint. This is to be expected due to the citric acid absorbing moisture from the air. We recommend using the product once the packaging is opened.
11. What is the viscosity of the mixture?
After mixing the concentrate with water, it completely looks like water. There is a negligible change in the viscosity of the final product, which is ready to use.
12. How should I store the refills?
Our refill packaging is designed to keep the contents safe from moisture and to withstand a small amount of moisture. However, it is recommended to store it in a cool, dry place to avoid direct sunlight and getting it soaked in water.
13. What type of water works best with Superkons products?
We designed our products to work with lukewarm water. The contents should dissolve at any temperature in the water. However, we recommend using lukewarm water for the best results and enjoy the product in just over a minute.
Packaging and materials
14. Are the sachets compostable?
To tackle the global plastic waste crisis, all our compostable sachets are plant-based and made from renewable resources like wood pulp, corn starch, cassava, sugarcane, or beets. They're home compost or industrial compost certified by TUV, which meets European packaging standards.
The time it takes for a product to be compostable depends on the conditions of the composting environment.
The sachet will break down within 180 days under industrial composting conditions.
Though the material is certified home compostable as well, home composts are more variable and depend on external factors such as temperature, humidity, and how often they're turned. Therefore, an average time for home composting can't be estimated.
15. Why did we use recycled aluminum for our cleaning sprays?
After extensive research and studies on material choices for cleaning spray, we finally landed on aluminum, since it's an infinitely recyclable material in the world and truly premium. All our aluminum bottles are coated inside with a protective layer to prevent corrosion, vacuum tested and quality controlled to ensure a perfect bottle.
It's much more than a passing trend; it’s a vital way for all of us to make better use of the earth’s resources and reduce our impact on the environment.
16. What materials are used in hand soap bottles?
We have carefully chosen our foaming hand soap bottles to be glass to last hundreds of uses. That blends into your countertops beautifully.
Just rinse the bottle with warm water in between refills.
17. Is the cardboard sourced sustainably for all the packaging?
Our boxes are made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified paper, which has been sourced in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner. We are devoted to developing sustainable packaging options that further reduce our environmental footprint.
18. Are the sachets recyclable?
No, the sachets are not recyclable since they have a combination of different layers, which makes them complex to recycle. Hence, dispose of them along with your food waste.
19. Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes, our glass bottles and aluminum sprays, along with the cardboard boxes, are fully recyclable. To recycle, please sort and drop them off at the recycling stations.

Plans and subscriptions
20. How should I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my subscription?
You can always edit your subscription at any time. Log in to your Superkons account via the website and click Subscriptions. Make any edits you require and press "Save." Click on "cancel subscriptions."
21. What if I've forgotten my username/password?
You can reset it. Do so by clicking "Forgot your password?" on the login page. An email will be sent to your inbox with a link to choose a new password. Please check your spam/junk folders if it doesn’t appear within 10 minutes.
22. Do I need an account to sign up?
You will need to create an account if you want to sign up for our subscription and look out on your dashboard for impact metrics. We need to save your details to know when, where, and how many Superkons refills and starter kits we are sending out and, of course, our newsletter. If you do not want to give us your details, it is possible to buy any of our products as one-off purchases, and you can check out as a guest.
23. Where does my data go?
We will never give your data to third parties.
All of our transactions are processed by a company called Stripe through their secure online payments portal.
